Have you ever thought about taking your family on a cruise, but you weren’t sure if cruising was right for you? Let me tell you, I wish we hadn’t waited so long! A cruise vacation has all the best parts of a vacation, all wrapped into one.
Like to travel? You will travel to different ports without having to pack and unpack at every stop.
Like to relax? You can relax by the pool with a book or an adult beverage.
Like adventure? You can book zip lining or parasailing at one of your ports.
Like entertainment? You can see a show or go to a club every night.
Like good food? The dining rooms have excellent meals to choose from.
Want family time? You can play mini golf while enjoying a spectacular view.
Want adult time? There is a nursery and kids clubs for kids of all ages with wonderful counselors to keep them busy!
When my family took our first cruise with Disney Cruise Line – we were instantly hooked! We immediately booked our next cruise, and couldn’t wait to do it all over again. It has become an annual trip for us as we look for new ports to visit and we hope to try out all the Disney ships.
In 5 ½ years, we have been on 6 Disney cruises, on 2 different ships, and we can still find things we haven’t seen or done before. The detail of the décor of the ships is incredible. I love to just wander around during quiet times, and take photos of light fixtures, or stair railings. There are hidden Mickey’s everywhere. You can find them on the chandeliers, on your shower curtains, even the bathroom mirrors. There are interactive paintings throughout the ships. You have to be on the lookout – you never know where you will run into something “unusual”.
Don’t think that a Disney cruise is only about kids chasing Mickey Mouse all over the ship. If you want to see characters – you certainly can. Get your little ones dressed up, check the schedule, and go get some pictures and autographs. But if that’s not your thing, they won’t be everywhere you turn. Feel free to have a specialty coffee in Cove Café – or a quiet swim in the adult only pool. My point is – Disney Cruise Line is perfect for adult-only getaways or for families. There is so much for everyone to do, on board and in ports of call. Feel free to reach out to me, and I’ll be happy to help you select the itinerary that is right for you, and help you plan your perfect cruise vacation. Trust me, just once, and you will be hooked like me!
